oh look I’m alive.
8”)
The man released his hold from her chin and turned his cheek, taking the lead towards their favored hostelry. The woman wasn’t sure if the pigment she felt rushing towards the apples of her cheeks was a result of anger or embarrassment. Perhaps, it was a fusion of both. Marian clenched her jaw and dragged a hand across her face, obstinately protesting from underneath her breath. Pushing closed fists to her sides, the irritated woman lumbered behind her fellow companion.
The two trekked in silence for a moment before Marian’s voice quipped up from behind, “Er, Anders?” As he turned with a inquisitive look, the female directed an index finger to her bare feet. “I might need to get some shoes first.” She sheepishly suggested with a crooked smirk, rubbing at the back of her head. The apparel tent wasn’t too far from their location, as well as it being within their traveling destination. The woman wasn’t too picky with what she selected; she chose a pair of limber, leather boots and quickly slipped them on. Handing off a couple silvers to the tailor, the two resumed their movements towards Lowtown.
“I really hope Isabela and Varric aren’t there… Dear, Maker would they get a kick out of the both of us walking in like this.” She jested, glancing over at Anders.
“Well considering Varric is the one who put me in the getup, exuberantly of course, I’m sure they’re both expecting something along the lines of this.” The apostate turned his head to glance at the woman standing beside him. “I have a feeling Varric’s room will be aflame once again.” Anders fished through a pile of clothing, pulling out a decent shirt to replace the somewhat charred one he was sporting. It really did feel odd, not having his coat or feathers protecting him. It was somewhat of a security to have those clothes on, but without them, he felt well, naked. He quickly excused himself and made way into the changing tent. Making his way back out, he noticed Marian’s change of shoes, and let out a hearty laugh. “And you make fun of me for wearing feathers..” He brushed off the nasty look thrown in his direction, and waited until the black haired woman was ready to continue on their way.
“Actually, I would rather have Varric and Isabela over the oh-so-enthusiastic and ever-loving elf. Or the blood mage. Either way, I don’t think my temper will hold tonight if I have to deal with any of that.” Anders rubbed at his face as they kept their pace, wiping off the bit of dirt he had smeared on his cheek. “How you can deal with all of these people, I’ll never know.”
Lovely.
I knew you liked me following you, mage.
I knew you like following me, elf.
Quite the opposite; I feel I must follow you, you never look behind you in battle.
Maybe I wouldn’t have to heal you so much if you weren’t putting all of your attention on what I was and wasn’t doing during battle.
ooc: Sorry about being nonexistent, but it was finals week, and I had to pack up my dorm and move back home. Now I have to unpack everything lmao.
ooc: lmao cries over my terrible grammar. Okay yeah hi everyone excuse me it’s finals week and I’m partially brain dead.
Lovely.
I knew you liked me following you, mage.
I knew you like following me, elf.
ooc: Sorry I haven’t been very active. I’ve been really sick this past weekend.

You are just as bad as me, you know. We both fight for our form of justice, we just have different names for it. My reasoning is realism, yours is idealism. We are more similar than you may believe.
I fight for something you cannot fathom to understand. You have not lived our lives, only burdened them. We did not choose this fate, yet you blame us for simply being born. We fight for freedom, you fight to murder. You may say mine is idealism, then how is your realism? How is fighting to eradicate a whole cluster of innocent people who didn’t ask for this considered realism. Meredith’s dreams, mind ideals, is to take us out. Reality shows that we live, and we will fight for what we consider fair and just. I am not you, and you are not me. But take out the word ‘Justice’, and there is nothing similar between you and I, templar. |
